Kinetic Sculpture

Alright… now this is just incredibly awesome. The good folks at the World Artist Network pointed me to a video of some work by a Dutch artist named Theo Jansen. This guy has apparently been doing some incredible things with wind-powered kinematic sculptures. Being an engineering-minded art guy (one that’s all about stuff that moves) myself, this just put the biggest, dumbest smile on my face.
As it turns out, he has a website and these kinetic pieces are part of a documentary-style film that he’s working on. Excellent stuff.
