The Magicman in “Coin Trick”
May 8th, 2006 by Jason
So the first Magicman animation is finally complete! Woohoo! This on is called “Coin Trick.” We’re planning on making a series of these adventures in magic with this guy. Like I said before, we’ve got lots of plans for this little guy (most likely to his detriment), so you’ll have to keep coming back here to see more.
There were a number of goofy tricks that went into getting some parts of this animation to work, but hopefully they should go unnoticed. I’ll try and post a more detailed post on how some things were done in the future if anyone is interested.
In the meantime, however, the important thing is getting you guys to see this animation. It’s 30 seconds long (36 with the Hand Turkey title graphic) and 3.8MB. You’ll need the latest version of Quicktime (or mplayer or VLC for you Linux kids) to view it. So, please view and enjoy: Magicman in “Coin Trick”.
Don’t forget to post a comment and let us know what you think.
Update: Some people have been telling me that they’re having problems viewing the Quicktime version of this. So… to make it so they can enjoy watching The Magicman, too, I’ve uploaded a version encoded in good ‘ole MPEG-1. The file is larger (6.08MB) and there’s some noticable artifacting in it… but it should be playable just about anywhere. Enjoy.
