[WIP] Monkey Lizard – Part 3
June 5th, 2006 by JasonStill pushing on this one. I’ve made a lot of little tweaks and some fairly major adjustments. As you can see, the Monkey Lizard now has hands and feet. Not only that, but I put a fair amount of work into detailing his midsection and tail. A fair amount of tweaking went into his chest, too; pulling it out and making it a bit less pointy.
His face received some work as well. I pushed around verts to fatten/lengthen the big side tooth, reduced the size of his mouth hole, modified and completed his mouth’s interior, tweaked his nose to match the sketch a bit better, and probably a handful of smaller adjustments that I cannot even remember.
At any rate, here’s the Monkey Lizard in it’s current state. The next step is to give him a bit more personality and age by applying the mirror modifier and giving him some asymmetry.

Dude. Creepy.
Kickass, though. Thought you didn’t do critters, just animation?

Amy! Hello! Did I say that? If I did, I’m sorry ’bout that. I must have meant to say something along the lines of “I’m better at animation than I am at critter-makin’.” This is especially true in the light of how incredibly good and incredibly fast Jonathan (mr_bomb) is at modeling.
I’m glad you like it, though. Hopefully in the coming weeks I can find time to texture and rig this little guy. Then he can look even creepier (like me!).
