If North Korea were to produce an above ground nuclear test, inside their own borders. Somewhere in the neighborhood of the intensity of the trinity site explosion. (20 kilotons IIRC) It is highly likely that traces of the radioactive debris could be spread throughout the entire northern hemisphere. Taking years to be drained out.
