Valentine’s Day was instituted on Feb 14th as an attempt many believe to “Christianize” the Roman ritual of Lupercalia.
Legend has it that St. Valentine who was sentenced to death fell in love with the jailers daughter. Handing her a note as he was being ushered to his execution. Which he signed “From your Valentine”.
