Red Hat High 2007:Awesome!

For the entirety of last week, I was in Raleigh, North Carolina, teaching Digital Animation in Blender at Red Hat High for the second year in a row. Jonathan Williamson (mr_bomb in the Blender community) also returned to teach this year and we added a pair of award-winning Blender animators to our teaching roster: Bassam Kurdali (director of the first open movie, Elephants Dream) and Sam Brubaker (2006 Suzanne Award winner for his animation, Infinitum). The only thing that was more fantastic than teaching with these guys was seeing the work these students produced. Have a look:

Incredibly awesome work for a group of 13-15 year-olds who had never touched Blender before. I’ll be writing a more detailed article for Blender Nation soon, but I had to get this work posted as soon as possible.
